APPEARANCE
「 Living in a traditionally patriarchal society, having his looks take after his mother was a sore spot to Agnar for a long time. Since then though, he has learned to appreciate it - at least on some days. In some ways he looks his age, but also can seem somewhat younger in the right light. His androgynous looks are only broken by a slight pale dusting on his chin and a upper lip. Agnar has a sharp jawline and a stronger jaw, but high and narrow cheekbones. 」

Privately enjoys looser clothes and walking bare footed when he isn’t needed in the court, but his professional attire often includes multiple layers of cloth and a white great coat.
His color palette goes from normal blacks and whites, to purple and golden embroidery and accents.
Agnar also enjoys jewelry somewhat; mostly in his wrist/palm/fingers area, but once again mostly uses them in private or at special occasions rather than in a normal court day or whilst training.」

PERSONA
「 Old tales tell of the night of a blood moon, when the sky is red and angry and only the monsters dare to brave the night. It was such a night that Agnar was born; crying and screaming as if he was already angry at the world. Perhaps there was some sliver of truth in the old tale, because indeed, there was something very, very wrong with Agnar
As a crown prince, Agnar lived a privileged life. Private tutors and freedom to do almost whatever he wanted, as long as it didn’t reflect too badly to his parents. In a way, perhaps being born into this life made him less of a monster he would’ve been in another life, where he wouldn’t have learned how the world works from books and tutors - in another life where consequences of his actions would’ve been harsher. In this life, with different rules, with people where appearances mattered more than the real thoughts and actions Agnar learned. Learned how the people worked, learned how to look pretty and friendly, learned how to get people to do as he wanted and what it would cost.
Agnar dreamed big - aimed high, and was in a position where it was possible and highly likely if he was willing to wait. So wait he did. Agnar is patient and callous enough to get what he wants. You see, as he was born, with all of this ambition there was no more room for empathy. Growing up, most of his callousness were explained simply by ‘boys are boys’, but as Agnar’s younger siblings were born, he was told that despite him being the firstborn, if he wouldn’t clean his act come his 16th birthday, the crown would be passed to his brother instead. This was when it really dawned to Agnar - to get what he wanted, he would have to be able to play by the rules - rules that he didn’t quite know yet, but he would have to learn soon. Don’t take this wrong; if it meant getting what he wanted without consequences he would even feed his younger sister to the dogs without feeling bad about it - but the fact that doing so would turn many, many people against him and his crown, stalls his hands in most cases..
And thus, once he was crowned after his father’s passing, Agnar knew how to keep people on his side. He knew that doing things as he wished to do things, would just turn his own council against him and have them march their armies against his own. Thus, to keep them on his side, he had to do things differently. Ironically, by keeping his closest advisors and council happy with him, Agnar was doing a better job at keeping the kingdom together and in peace better than his father was doing.
And so the full circle comes to be. Agnar manipulates and bribes his council -the most influential people of his kingdom - being happy with him and supporting him. The council is happy with their king and supports his reign and even the commoners are happy, since their king supports their liege lords, which reflects positively on them. The very thing Agnar wanted - the crown - also keeps the worst of him shackled and bound. 」
MAGIC
「 Agnar has magic in his veins, as the royal line often has. His branch is just a bit more obscure than usually seen. Agnar has very specific magic. To most people his powers look even useless, if not pretty. However, the reality is quite gruesome. Inside his body lives a large colony of butterfly caterpillars created and cultivated by his own magic. If Agnar needs them, once they leave his body they evolve rapidly to ‘adult’ butterflies.
Full grown, these butterflies’ size varies from an adult male’s palm, to the size of a small bird. While quite beautiful and graceful, these butterflies have strong jaws and pincers - since these insects are the flesh-eating type. And since those were created by magic, they are also a bit stronger than your normal insects. However their dangers don't come from a single insect - since dealing with a single magical butterfly would be an easy job to almost anyone - the danger itself comes from the quantity of them, since there are usually hundreds of them coming at you if they are used. They can eat through flesh and bones - and technically even through stone, if given enough time.
Because of their ethereal, glowing looks tinted with shades of purple, Agnar has started calling them Voidflies. These voidflies are immune to most magics. For example, a magical fire won’t burn them, but a normal fire will. This said, if you create a stone with magic, and then crush a voidfly with the rock, it will work as well as a normal rock would.
Technically there is not a limit to how many voidflies Agnar can control at the same time. There is a limit to how many of the caterpillars he can have inside his body growing at the time, but once they burrow their way outside -phasing through his skin as if it wasn’t there - there is no limit. Of course, for his body to create these caterpillars Agnar has to have access to his magic and not be too exhausted. Magic itself takes a physical toll if used too much; eating and sleeping returns physical, but also magical energy- and thus using too much magic would show the same as not sleeping and eating enough. 」
